
Zubeen Garg - A Voice Beyond Borders
Zubeen Garg (1972 – 2025) was a celebrated Indian singer, composer, and actor whose music spanned Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, and more than 40 other languages. Rising to fame with his Assamese album Anamika and the Bollywood hit “Ya Ali,” he recorded tens of thousands of songs and played multiple instruments. Beyond music, he acted, directed, and supported social causes, becoming a cultural icon of Assam. Garg passed away in 2025, leaving a lasting legacy as one of Northeast India’s most influential and versatile artists.
